How to log in to Discord?

Discord is becoming more and more mainstream nowadays. It has millions of users and is set to become a dominant player in the Web3 universe.

For community managers, it is an essential platform to create communities where users interact via chat, voice and video conversations.

Once a Discord account is created and verified, users can log in in a variety of ways. Here are some of the options for users.

Discord Login Via Web Browser

On a web browser, type in the URL of the login page. This is: https://discord.com/login

After this, two boxes need to be filled in.

In the first one, type in either the phone number or the email address used for registration. These are the details that have been verified earlier.

Then, type in your password.

And that's it. You're good to go.

Discord Login Via Desktop App

Discord also has a free desktop app. It can be downloaded from here. There are Windows, Mac and Linux versions.

Once the app has been downloaded and installed, launch it to go to the login page.

Here, the email or phone number should be entered, along with the password.

Discord has also recently started rolling out a feature that they call Account Switcher. This is convenient for users with multiple accounts. They can log in to and switch between five accounts on their desktop apps.

Discord Login Via Mobile App

The Discord app is also downloadable from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The apps are available for both iOS and Android devices.

After downloading and installing the app, the login steps are the same as before. Tap on the email/phone number field to enter the details, and then tap on the password field to enter the password.

Discord Login Via A QR Code

Discord also lets users log in on the web or the desktop app through a QR code. This is convenient and saves time.

To do this, start by logging in to the Discord app on the phone.

At the bottom of the Discord app for mobile, there will be a profile icon. Tap on this and then tap ‚Scan QR Code. Camera permissions will have to be granted to enable this.

On the web browser, navigate to the login page. The page will display a large QR code.

Scan the code on the screen with the phone camera. When this process is complete, there will be a prompt asking for login approval. Tap ‚Yes, Log Me In.

The QR code displayed will be valid only for two minutes, so make sure to log in within that time. Otherwise, the page will have to be loaded again.
